Boots and Stuff

Life in the high desert. Boots, belts, and bolo ties. Hats, hankies, and handmade leather luggage. What more does one need? OK, maybe a good guitar.

Sometimes we want to fly.

Theme for an Imaginary Robert Rodriguez Film

This is an assignment from the Hans Zimmer Film Scoring MasterClass I’m taking.

Here’s music for this scene:

Danny Trejo stalks Antonio Banderas down a dingy street. Suddenly, Trejo loses Banderas. Trejo thinks Banderas has gone into a building opens a door. He steps into a room. Salma Hayek is teaching violin to a student (playing a C major scale). Her back is to the door so she doesn’t see Trejo. The student makes a mess of playing the scale because she sees Trejo standing in the doorway and it completely unnerves her. Of course, Banderas is hiding in the room so the cat-and-mouse music returns.

Sudden Impact – Cup of Coffee Scene
